Why Jacinda Ardern’s memoir is struggling to revitalise and reinvigorate her image
During an episode of the Lex Fridman Podcast, the guest Joe Rogan was asked if he will ever have Donald Trump on his show
LEX FRIDMAN: Joe, you’ve had a lot of controversial figures on your show, like Kanye West, for example. What about someone like Donald Trump? Have you ever considered having him on your podcast?
JOE ROGAN: Nah, I’m not a Trump supporter in any way, shape, or form. I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once, and I’ve said no every time. I don’t want to help him. I’m not interested in helping him.
LEX FRIDMAN: Really? But you’ve had other polarising figures on, like Kanye. Why draw the line with Trump? You’ve always said you’re about having conversations, regardless of who they are.
JOE ROGAN: Yeah, but Kanye’s an artist, you know? Trump’s different. He’s seen as this existential threat to democracy itself.
LEX FRIDMAN: Do you really bear the responsibility for the course of the country based on a conversation?
JOE ROGAN: I think you can revitalise and rehabilitate someone’s image in a way that’s pretty shocking. A conversation on my show can do that, and I don’t want to do that for him.
Joe eventually did, and Trump himself said Joe Rogan helped him win the 2024 elections
This is exactly what most influencers like Oprah have realised, and the reason they are trying to do what Joe Rogan does for the liberals.
The problem is.. Joe Rogan and Trump has helped people become aware that influencers on the left, and the likes of Jacinda, will intentionally use such a method of revitalisation, for the purposes of manipulating the public.
Main themes promoted on the book tour
Here are three themes she is using to promote her book, and why it is backfiring;
Kindness and empathy is seen as a weakness: FALSE. Most environments in New Zealand including schools and workplaces only teach kindness, empathy, respect, and compassion
Using tragedies like Christchurch mosque: She is promoting the book on how she was compassionate and attacj=ked Trump, but in reality, she used this tragedy to promote social media censorship, went after right wing journalists, and aggressively pushed for hate crime laws. It wasn’t until Elon bought Twitter to stop this madness
She is using the book to attack leading with strength as fear mongering: But instead, she is being reminded how she used the Covid-19 Pandemic to spread fear for 2 years non-stop, and then people learnt that the Pandemic didn’t need such a tough response
Sales not going well.. apparently
OOPS.. not surprised
